According to director David Yates, this last part of the scene after Harry’s first kiss wasn’t in the script. After the 3 actors had said their lines, Emma Watson started laughing hysterically. David Yates thought this would be a good addition to the movie, so he kept rolling. I think, this is one of the most beautiful scenes of the entire series of movies. It shows us one of those moments when Harry and his friends really got to be just teenagers who had the liberty of getting excited about each others’ first kiss, instead of worrying about the next big hurdle in the path of righteousness.

Ron: Christmas morning, I was sleeping in a pub, keeping away from some snatchers. And I heard it.

Harry: It?

Ron: A voice. Your voice, Hermione. Coming out of here.

Hermione: And what exactly did I say, may I ask?

Ron: My name. Just my name. Like a whisper. So I took it, and I clicked it, and this tiny ball of light appeared. And I knew. Sure enough, it floated toward me. It went right into my chest, straight through me, right here. I knew it was gonna take me where I needed to go, so I disapparated. I came to this hillside. It was dark, I had no idea where I was. Just hoped that one of you would show yourself, and you did.

I know this is an extremely important scene for Ron and Hermione’s relationship, but we often forget the friendship between these 3, or more importantly between Harry and Ron. Ron mentions that Hermione’s voice led him to them, yes, but he also says Harry was the one who actually showed him the way by showing up. Call me crazy, but I think this is a really beautiful scene in terms of Harry and Ron’s friendship.
